 Même aujourd’hui, dans certaines régions rurales, on utilise des assiettes fabriquées avec des feuilles. Pourquoi? C’est simple…non seulement ces assiettes sont très économiques, elles sont aussi biodégradables. Souvent, en Inde, on fait face à la situation, où les animaux  s’étouffent en essayant d’avaler des sacs plastiques. L’utilisation des assiettes faites des feuilles est aussi une manière d’éviter ce problème.

 

  1.  Le jeûne

Les traditions indiennes – Le jeûne est un aspect essentiel de plusieurs religions en Inde: l’hindouisme, l’Islam et le jaïnisme. Pendant votre voyage en Inde, vous rencontrerez beaucoup de gens qui ne mange pas certains jours de la semaine.

Mis à part le fait de suivre leurs croyances religieuses ou traditions (on dit qu’une femme qui jeûne durant 16 lundis consécutifs trouvera le mari idéal), observer le jeûne occasionellement  est également bon pour la santé.

 

  1. Le Yoga

 Il y a des herbes qui ont les propriétés nécéssaires pour  guérir des maladies comme le rhume, la fièvre, l’indigestion, etc. C’est pour cette raison que ces herbes étaient considérées sacrées. Aujourd’hui encore , elles sont encore cultivées dans de nombreux foyers en Inde.

Bien souvent, il y a une explication  rationelle à toutes ces coutumes. Toutefois, certaines d’entre elles sont toujours sujettent à polémique.
