Known as the “Land of Kings”, the desert state of Rajasthan captivates visitors from around the world. It exudes royalty while being deeply rooted in heritage, and encompasses the essence of India through its mesmerizing landscapes, grand forts and palaces, rich history, and vibrant culture.

The heritage of Rajasthan is gently preserved in its cities. The Pink City of Jaipur houses the magnificent Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. The mighty Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur stands high, offering panoramic views of the Blue City, while the City of Lakes, Udaipur, is a beautiful haven with pristine lakes and magnificent palaces.

The state of Rajasthan also has an incredibly diverse landscape. There is, of course, the Great Indian Desert – the Thar Desert – stretching endlessly into the horizon. The Aravalli hills run through part of the state, home to Mount Abu, Rajasthan’s only hill station. Keoladeo National Park, Ranthambore National Park, and Sariska Tiger Reserve have diverse terrains and house many species of wildlife, especially tigers and migratory birds – a treat for wildlife enthusiasts. The Pushkar Lake is the epicenter of Pushkar city, offering a spiritual experience like no other.

The festivals of Holi, Diwali, Gangaur, and the Pushkar Camel Fair are a vibrant celebration of colors, traditions, and culture of India. If you want some adventure, go for camel safaris and jeep rides in the desert, sleep under the stars, or experience a hot air balloon ride over the city. And don’t forget to try the local cuisine – simple yet hearty dishes like Dal Baati Churma, Laal Maas, and Ghevar will satisfy your soul.

The enchanting state of Rajasthan is a living testament to India’s rich past, vivid culture, and cultural traditions. Experience everything that Rajasthan has to offer with India Someday!
