The history and heritage of Jaipur is preserved in its magnificent structures. The Hawa Mahal, known as the Palace of Winds, is a popular tourist attraction in India. The Amber Fort, or Amer Fort, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 16th century. Jantar Mantar is another UNESCO World Heritage Site housing the largest stone sundial in the world, along with 19 astronomy instruments. The City Palace, Jal Mahal, Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort are a few other important monuments in the city.

Jaipur’s vibrant culture shows up in its intricate arts and crafts, folk music, dances, and bustling markets. Festivals like Jaipur Literature Festival, Gangaur Festival, Chhat ka Mela, and Navratri are celebrated with great enthusiasm.

The cuisine of Jaipur is characterized by simple, hearty meals with deep flavors. Dal Bati Churma, Kachori, Ker Sangri, Bajra Roti, and Mirchi Bada are a few popular dishes here. Laal Maas is a spicy mutton curry which non-vegetarians are sure to love. Ghevar is a traditional sweet made from flour and ghee, popular during festivals.
